The Virtue Literacy Project provides the VFAVE site to help parents, grandparents, teachers, and kids to find great entertainment to read, watch, listen. VFAVE is a carefully curated collection of entertainment recommendations.
Think of the unique virtue-based rating system that we apply to each title as a "nutrition label" for books and media.
We are what we eat. It's true not only with food. Let's consume reading and media that make our souls strong.
How to find your new FAVES through the VFAVE Homepage?
It's easy as 1, 2, 3
1) Use the TOP MENU BUTTONS for broad general search
OR
2) Refine your search with simple choices in the category DROP-DOWN FIELDS
OR
3) Scroll through the TITLE THUMBNAILS recommended within the various genres.
Choose by Title Type
The yellow menu buttons give the broadest search results.
By choosing one of the READ, WATCH or LISTEN buttons, you'll see ALL the virtue-rated recommendations included in that one general type, either
books, or movies, or music/audio.
Choose by Age
These buttons give broad search results in a single age category.
By choosing one of the CHILDREN, YOUTH, OR GROWN-UPS buttons, you'll see all the books, movies, and music recommended within that age category.
The individual title recommendation pages refine age categories even further.
Search by Type + Age
Use the category fields to refine your search more specifically.
Choose something to read for a child, or something to watch for a teen, or something to listen to for a grown-up, etc.
Once you select an option from those two fields, press the yellow magnifying glass button to see your results. You get the idea.
Search by Virtue or Title/Author
Use the "CHOOSE: Everyday Virtue" field to find titles recommended becuase they portray a specific virtue.
Use the "Optional Keyword Search" to find the virtue rating for a specific title or to see what title/s have been rated/recommended by a specific author.
